For Heinrichsthal cheese specialities
Heinrichsthaler Milchwerke is delighted to announce its new partnership with Dresdner Vorgebirgs Agrar AG. Since the end of June, milk from up to 630 dairy cows from the innovative “cow garden” has been used in the production of our cheese specialities.
This collaboration enables us to offer cheese lovers even greater quality and sustainability: with milk from H4 farming methods.
The “cow garden”: state-of-the-art barn with plenty of space, light, and greenery
The newly built barn in Kleincarsdorf covers almost 10,000 square meters and is one of the largest and most modern of its kind in Germany. Each cow has 12 square meters of space—more than double the legal minimum requirement. The animals live as if in a real garden and can roam freely among rock pears, ornamental apples, and currants.
Innovative technology for improved animal welfare and milk quality
The “cow garden” relies on modern technology that focuses on the welfare of the animals. This allows the cows to visit one of the milking robots independently at any time to be milked in peace – without any stress. Automatic feeders ensure fresh feed at all times, and the air- and light-permeable roof provides pleasant ventilation and lighting conditions.
Thanks to innovative technology, cow barn hygiene is also maintained at the highest level.
Highest (cheese) quality from responsible farming
The animals in the “cow garden” live in the best conditions – and you can taste it. The milk complies with H4 standards, one of the highest standards for animal welfare in Germany. This top quality is now being used in our Heinrichsthal cheese specialities.
Sustainability and responsible agriculture have always been a central part of our corporate philosophy. In Dresdner Vorgebirgs Agrar AG, we have found another partner who shares these values and actively contributes to improving animal welfare and environmental conditions.
We are proud to be part of this forward-looking project and look forward to working together.
